Kano Governor Abba Yusuf Sacks Investment Commissioner

On Thursday, Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf announced the immediate dismissal of Shehu Sagagi from his position as the investment commissioner. This decision was communicated through a statement issued by the governor's spokesperson, Sunusi Batur.

In the statement, Governor Yusuf acknowledged Sagagi's contributions during his tenure, particularly in the areas of political and religious support for small and medium enterprises. The governor wished Sagagi success in his future endeavors and reaffirmed his administration's commitment to efficient service delivery and good governance.

The restructuring of the government is part of ongoing efforts to reposition the state's civil service for greater efficiency and discipline. Additionally, Abdullahi Musa has been appointed to oversee the ministry's affairs pending further directives.

This change comes amid political realignments in the state following Yusuf's defection to the New Nigeria Peoples Party from the All Progressives Congress.
