Kano Appoints Hajiya Bilkisu Shehu Maimota as Head of Service

The Kano State Government has appointed Hajiya Bilkisu Shehu Maimota as the new Head of Service, as confirmed by Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf. This announcement was made through a statement issued by the governor's Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad.

Maimota's appointment follows the removal of Alhaji Abdullahi Musa from the position. She is expected to act in this capacity to revamp the civil service system, emphasizing the need for ongoing reforms to deliver efficient and accountable public service.

The event coincided with the payment of the sixth tranche of long-standing gratuity death benefits owed to the families of deceased civil servants, which had been delayed for over a month.
