Kano Governor Denies Snubbing Emir Sanusi's Durbar

Kano Governor Yusuf has refuted claims that he snubbed Emir Sanusi's Durbar, which took place on Sunday. In a statement, the governor's spokesperson, Batur Dawakin Tofa, explained that the governor was in Lagos attending a strategic meeting with Nigerian governors during the Eid el-Fitr celebrations.

The governor described the allegations as false and unfounded, asserting that they were deliberately concocted to misinform the public and create unnecessary tension. He noted that he had formally communicated with the Emir regarding the Durbar and had attended the Eid prayer led by the Emir of Kano.

Furthermore, the governor emphasized the importance of maintaining a cordial relationship between the Kano State Government and the Kano Emirate Council, urging the public to disregard reports from unreliable sources.
