Kano State Transfers School for New Federal Polytechnic

The Kano state government has formally handed over the School of Rural Technology and Entrepreneurship Development located in Rano to the steering committee responsible for the establishment of the proposed Federal Polytechnic in Rano. This announcement was made in a statement by the governor’s spokesman, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Sunday.

During the handover ceremony, Governor Yusuf expressed the significance of technical education and skills development in equipping young people for employment, entrepreneurship, and self-reliance. He assured that the Kano state government would provide the necessary support for the successful establishment and prompt take-off of the institution.

Additionally, Governor Yusuf stated that the government would upgrade facilities and improve the learning environment at the new location in Sumaila Local Government Area to enhance effective teaching and learning. He acknowledged the contributions of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Kawu Sumaila, and Rt.

Hon. Kabiru Alhassan Rurum towards the realization of the polytechnic and commended the steering committee for their dedication to the project.
