Kano Hisbah Arrests 22 for Immoral Acts in Hotel Raid

On Wednesday, the Kano State Hisbah Board conducted a raid at a hotel located in Kureken Sani, Kumbotso Local Government Area, resulting in the arrest of 22 individuals, comprising 10 males and 11 females. This operation was initiated following credible intelligence reports regarding immoral activities occurring at the hotel.

Dr. Mujahid Aminudeen, the Deputy Commandant of the board, confirmed that the suspects were primarily teenagers aged between 12 and 19 years.

The Hisbah Board has warned hotel owners against allowing underage individuals access to their facilities, stating that they will face sanctions for non-compliance. The board emphasized its commitment to enforcing moral standards as prescribed by Shari'ah law and urged residents to continue providing information about such activities.

The arrested individuals will be charged in court upon the completion of the investigation. The Kano State Hisbah Board operates under laws enacted in the early 2000s, focusing on promoting social order and ensuring compliance with Islamic moral codes.
