Kano Hisbah Arrests Teens for Planning Immoral Party

The Kano State Hisbah Board arrested two teenagers, Umar Yahaya (19) and Musa Al Hassan (18), for allegedly organizing a birthday party for a pimp, which was intended to occur after the Eid el-Fitr celebrations. The Deputy Command General of the board, Mujahideen Aminudeen, confirmed the arrests in a statement issued on Tuesday.

The teenagers reportedly invited peers across the country via social media to attend the party, which was associated with inappropriate behavior and was deemed disrespectful to the spirit of Ramadan. The Hisbah Board emphasized that such actions could undermine the spiritual benefits of fasting during Ramadan.

The teenagers expressed regret for their actions, admitting a lack of understanding of Islamic teachings and proper conduct. The board plans to provide guidance to the youth to help them understand their religion better and engage in positive behavior.

The Hisbah Board is also monitoring various mosques during Ramadan to ensure proper conduct during prayers.
