Man Found Dead at Girlfriend's Home in Kano

In the early hours of Friday, a man named Makay was discovered dead at his girlfriend's residence in the Hotoro Tishanma area of Kano State. Friends, including Hassan Moham, reported that Makay was already deceased upon the police's arrival.

His body was subsequently taken to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital and later referred to Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital, where his death was officially confirmed. Hassan explained that Makay and his girlfriend, Fati Cele, had been in a relationship for two years, with a temporary separation due to her marriage before they reconciled.

Allegations surfaced that Makay sustained head injuries, with claims of bleeding at the time of burial. He was buried on Friday in Unguwa Uku according to Islamic rites.

The incident has sparked significant reactions on social media, particularly on TikTok, where users are demanding a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death. The spokesperson for the Kano State Police Command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, has not responded to calls for comments, and no official statement has been issued regarding the ongoing investigation.
