Kano Police Distributes N8.4m Welfare Support to Families

The Kano police command has distributed N8.4 million in welfare support to 18 beneficiaries, specifically the next of kin of police officers who have been affected by accidents or injuries while on duty. This initiative is part of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) welfare scheme aimed at providing financial assistance to families in need.

The distribution was presented by the state Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Bakori, at the command's headquarters in Bompai, Kano. Bakori conveyed the IGP Olatunji Disu's message, highlighting the Nigeria Police Force's unwavering commitment to the welfare of its officers and their families, particularly in times of injury or death.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the support, acknowledging the Nigeria Police Force's efforts to ensure the protection and care of its personnel and their families during difficult times.
