Nigeria Police Disburses Over N160M to Fallen Officers' Families

On Thursday, the Nigeria Police Force disbursed over N160 million to the families of fallen officers as part of a welfare scheme in commemoration of the 2026 National Police Day. The Edo State Police Command presented N40.8 million to the families of 20 deceased officers, with Commissioner Mondai Agbonika describing the occasion as solemn yet significant, honoring the fallen heroes.

Similar disbursements occurred in Sokoto State, where N33.9 million was distributed to eight beneficiaries, and Gombe State, where N31.04 million was given to 33 families. In Katsina State, N13.35 million was allocated to the families of 15 fallen officers, while Ogun State disbursed N30.55 million to beneficiaries.

Jigawa State Police Command presented N12.33 million to ten next of kin of deceased officers. The disbursements reflect the Nigeria Police Force's commitment to the welfare of its personnel and their families, emphasizing support even after the ultimate sacrifice made in service to the nation.
