Kano Police Ensure Security for 2026 UTME Candidates

The Kano State Police Command has announced its commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for candidates participating in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) from April 15 to April 26, 2026. A statement issued on Wednesday, signed by CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, outlined the security arrangements designed to facilitate a peaceful and hitch-free examination process at computer-based test (CBT) centers.

Daily Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, confirmed that extensive security measures would be implemented, including the deployment of a large number of police officers, tactical teams, and undercover operations at strategic locations across the state. The police will also manage traffic around examination centers to ensure timely arrival of candidates.

Bakori warned against any attempts to disrupt the examination process and emphasized that the command would take decisive action against anyone involved in malpractice or breaches of peace. Parents and the public are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
