Qadiriyya Sect Holds Funeral Prayer for Khamenei in Kano

In Kano, followers of the Qadiriyya sect conducted a funeral prayer in absentia for Khamenei, who was reportedly killed in a strike by US and Israeli forces. The prayer was led by Sheikh Muazzamu Nasiru Kabara, the elder son of the late Sheikh Nasiru Kabara, who was a prominent leader of the Qadiriyya sect in Africa until his passing in 1993.

The funeral rites were held immediately after the Asr prayer at the Darul Qadiriyya premises. Attendees prayed for Allah to grant eternal blessings to Sheikh Musal Qasiyuni Nasiru Kabara, among other notable participants.

The event was announced in a video shared on a verified Facebook page. Salatul Ghaib, the Islamic funeral prayer for deceased Muslims not physically present, was performed, a practice historically observed since the time of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and first noted during the death of the Negus, the king of Abyssinia (Ethiopia).
