Kano Rep Mohammed Hassan Passes Away at 62

Mohammed Hassan, a member of the Kano House of Representatives, died at the age of 62. His death was confirmed on Friday by Muham Yaro Daba, the chairman of the House's media committee.

In a statement, Daba described Hassan as a legal scholar and community leader, expressing condolences and prayers for the deceased's soul. The funeral prayer for Hassan is set to take place at his residence in Abuja on Saturday at 2:00 PM.

Daba praised Hassan as a worthy leader and prayed for Allah's mercy upon his soul, asking for strength for the family to bear the loss. Hassan was elected under the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in 2023 after defecting from the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

He is survived by three wives and 18 children.
