Kano Rerun: PDP Condemns Violence, Thuggery, Intimidation

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano State has strongly condemned the violence, thuggery, and intimidation that marred the rerun election in the State House Assembly Constituency. The party's chairman, Yusuf Ado Kibiya, expressed alarm at reports of intimidation and actions that undermine the democratic process.

He emphasized that such conduct endangers lives, destroys public trust, and must be condemned in the strongest terms. Kibiya called on law enforcement agencies to protect voters and decisively deter any form of intimidation or violence.

The PDP also urged the Kano State Government and national leaders to refrain from making inflammatory statements that could escalate tensions. The party emphasized the importance of a peaceful, transparent, and credible electoral process, calling on all stakeholders to reject violence and intimidation tactics.
