Kano Women Affairs Commissioner Defects to APC, Shifting Political Landscape

Amina Hod, the Kano State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Special Needs, has defected from the Kwankwasiyya Movement to join the All Progressives Congress (APC). This defection marks a major shift in the political landscape of Kano State.

Hod, known for her grassroots mobilization efforts, officially dumped the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) to align with Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf. The announcement of her defection was made on Sunday in a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Ibrahim Garba Waiya.
