Kanu Abandons Witness Plan in Terrorism Trial, Court Adjourns for Decision

Kanu, the detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has opted out of calling witnesses in his defense against terrorism charges. The Federal High Court in Abuja reviewed the case file and found no valid charges against Kanu.

Justice James Omotosho advised Kanu to seek legal guidance before finalizing his decision. The trial has been adjourned to November 4-6 for Kanu to adopt his final written address.

The court will consider Kanu's stance and the evidence presented so far, as the prosecution has failed to establish a case requiring a defense.
