Katsina Anti-Graft Agency Probes ₦188.6m Fraud in Fertiliser and School Funds

The Katsina State Public Complaints Commission is investigating a fraud amounting to ₦188.6 million involving fertiliser distribution and mismanaged school funds. The probe revealed diversion of subsidised fertiliser and misappropriation of school funds by a councillor and community development officers across several local government areas.

The suspects have begun refunding the embezzled funds, while investigations continue into other officials accused of financial misconduct. The ongoing recovery efforts aim to address the misappropriation within the state's Department of Banking and Finance, with millions already recovered.
