Katsina State's IGR Surges to N3 Billion Monthly

On Tuesday, Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda announced that the state's monthly Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) has risen to N3 billion, marking an increase of N400 million. This development was shared during a visit from a delegation led by Saad Ibrahim Bello, who is part of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission.

Governor Radda attributed this significant growth to the fiscal reforms introduced by his administration, particularly the implementation of a Treasury Single Account (TSA) system aimed at blocking revenue leakages. He emphasized that these reforms have strengthened transparency and accountability across government institutions, ensuring efficient management of public resources.

Furthermore, Governor Radda disclosed that his administration has fulfilled nearly 90 percent of its campaign promises to the people of Katsina State, with achievements spanning various sectors, including agriculture, education, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), public service reform, and security. The delegation's visit coincided with the commencement of a nationwide data verification exercise in Katsina.
