Katsina Governor Radda Distributes 90,000 Grain Bags

On Thursday, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina state initiated the distribution of 90,000 bags of 100kg assorted grains to vulnerable households in all 34 local government areas. The flag-off ceremony took place in Kaita local government area.

Governor Radda stated that this initiative demonstrates his administration's dedication to addressing the immediate needs of citizens while implementing long-term strategies for improving livelihoods and food security. He reiterated the philosophy that development should reach grassroots levels, ensuring that citizens feel the government's impact in their daily lives.

This distribution is part of a broader support program, which previously included assistance to women in Koko and Kosai businesses during Ramadan and aid to 7,220 widows across the state. Radda acknowledged the Aliko Dangote Foundation's support in distributing rice to vulnerable citizens and noted that this latest distribution follows a previous allocation of 90,000 bags of grains, which included millet, maize, and guinea corn.
