Katsina Governor Radda Supports 5,075 Vulnerable Pupils

On Thursday, Governor Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina State launched the disbursement of Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) to 5,075 vulnerable pupils across the state, aimed at encouraging school enrollment. The event took place at the TESS Conference Hall in Katsina metropolis during a sensitization program organized by the Katsina State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in collaboration with the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC).

Governor Radda emphasized that these interventions are part of his administration's commitment to removing barriers to education, ensuring that every child has access to inclusive and quality basic education, regardless of their background. He stated that the CCT program is designed to support poor and vulnerable households, promote regular school attendance, reduce absenteeism, and discourage child labor and early marriage, which contribute to school dropouts.

Radda described the event as a significant milestone in the effort to eliminate educational barriers for vulnerable children.
