Katsina Residents Concerned Over Suspended Road Project Amid Political Allegations

Katsina residents are worried about the suspension of a road rehabilitation project along the Mararrabar Kankara Dutsinma Road. They allege that Governor Masari and his aide, Dikko Umar Radda, influenced the cancellation of the contract awarded to VIPAN Global Investment Resources Ltd.

The residents believe this move is politically motivated and could impact the ruling party's popularity in the state. The Ministry of Works cited lack of funds for the cancellation, but residents accuse Governor Masari and David Umahi of political motives.

The project, worth N147.6 billion, was halted despite initial progress, raising concerns among the electorate.
