Katsina State Trains Climate Officers on Adaptation and Mitigation Strategies

Katsina State government has initiated a two-day capacity-building workshop to strengthen climate change adaptation and mitigation efforts. The training, organized by the Katsina State Development and Management Board (KSDMB), targets climate change desk officers in the state's 34 local councils.

Mustapha Shehu, the Executive Secretary of KSDMB, emphasized the importance of a community-driven approach to address climate change challenges. Governor Dikko Umaru Radda's administration prioritizes sustainable environmental management and climate-smart agriculture.

The workshop aims to empower frontline officials to translate policies into tangible outcomes at the community level, reflecting the state government's proactive stance on climate governance and sustainable development.
