Katsina Governor Radda Praises Tinubu's Reforms

On Tuesday, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina state announced that reforms introduced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are facilitating the state's ability to pay salaries and pensions without resorting to borrowing. Speaking at the Tinubu/Dikko Assured (TDA) 2027 Islamiyya Teachers’ Empowerment event, Radda emphasized that leadership should be evaluated based on performance and measurable results.

He highlighted that his administration has executed projects worth over ₦30 billion without taking loans, contrasting this with previous practices. Radda confirmed that the state is meeting its financial obligations, including timely salary and pension payments.

He also made a personal donation of ₦10,000 to each of the 690 beneficiaries present, totaling ₦6.9 million, rounded up to ₦7 million. The governor encouraged citizens and organizations to contribute to community development, asserting that government efforts alone are insufficient for delivering necessary interventions.
