Katsina Projects N95.77bn IGR for 2027 Budget Funding

The Katsina State Government has projected an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of N95.77 billion to finance its 2027 budget, totaling N828,638,844,091.48. Governor Dikko Umaru Radda presented the appropriation bill, titled “Building Your Future IV,” to the state House of Assembly.

The budget includes a recurrent revenue of N583,580,821,773.81, with N95,772,861,855.30 from IGR and N487,807,959,918.42 from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC). The recurrent revenue projection has increased by N5,929,561,942.63, a 1.03 percent rise.

Key allocations include N83.82 billion for basic and higher education, N71.60 billion for works and housing, N65.88 billion for agriculture and livestock, N53.64 billion for health, and N50.51 billion for rural development. The remaining N312.47 billion will be allocated to other essential sectors, including security and e-governance.
