Kebbi ADC suspends state chairman, two others

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kebbi State has suspended its chairman, Engineer Sufiyanu Bala, along with deputy Junaidu Muhammed Mudi and state secretary Hauwa Muhammed. The party's publicity secretary, Jamilu Muhammed, announced the decision, accusing the leadership of making unilateral decisions without consulting the executive.

The suspension was effective immediately, with Muhammed alleging that the suspended leaders allowed Abuja-based politicians to dominate the party, a move that founding members strongly opposed. The decision was made at an extraordinary meeting of loyal ADC members and stakeholders.

The party warned the suspended members to stop identifying as party officials and condemned any political gatherings organized by them, as it violates the Electoral Act. Abdulrazaq Abubakar Isah Iko was appointed as the interim chairman, with Adamu Aliyu as the acting secretary.
