Kebbi APC Calls for Investigation into Jega Violence

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi has demanded a thorough and impartial investigation into the violence and property destruction that occurred in Jega Local Government Area. Alhaji Isah Assalafi, the party’s Publicity Secretary, made this call during a press briefing in Birnin Kebbi.

He condemned all acts of violence and intimidation, regardless of the political affiliations of those involved. Assalafi emphasized that Jega has a significant history of political engagement and that the actions of a few should not tarnish the community's reputation.

He urged security agencies to comprehensively investigate the incidents, identify those responsible, and ensure accountability. Assalafi also cautioned against inflammatory rhetoric and misinformation that could escalate tensions, advocating for dialogue as a means of resolving disputes.

He expressed sympathy for those affected by the violence and called for political leaders to promote peaceful engagement among their supporters.
