Kebbi State Launches New Police Mobile Force Base

Kebbi State Governor Dr. Nasir Idris has commenced plans for a new Police Mobile Force base in Zuru, aimed at bolstering efforts against banditry and criminal activities in Kebbi South.

During a formal handover ceremony, the Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi Mika Ilu Sami Gomo III, received the land on behalf of the Kebbi State Commissioner of Police, Chief Superintendent Abubakar Ambursa. This initiative is part of Governor Idris's broader security intervention program, fulfilling commitments made during a recent visit to Zuru following a security agency review.

The governor emphasized the importance of safety for residents and the need for support for security agencies. The establishment of the mobile base is expected to enhance rapid response capabilities, improve intelligence gathering, and strengthen security presence in vulnerable communities facing threats from armed banditry, cattle rustling, and kidnapping.

The event was attended by local government chairman Alhaji Muhammad Bala Isah and other senior government officials.
