Kebbi Governor Backs Police in Fight Against Banditry

On Friday, Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris reaffirmed his confidence in the Nigeria Police Force's capability to successfully combat banditry during a meeting with Deputy Inspector General Suleiman Muhammad Abdul, who supervises the North West Zone. Governor Idris stated that the police have the necessary capacity to tackle the terror problem in the state and the country, provided they receive adequate support and operational tools.

He expressed readiness to partner with the police to achieve positive results and pledged continued support, including logistical assistance. The governor thanked the Inspector General of Police for deploying personnel and equipment to Kebbi, which has been crucial in addressing the issue of banditry.

He noted that Kebbi State has no bandit camps and that the police have effectively disrupted criminal operations. The Deputy Inspector General thanked the governor for his consistent support and extended condolences to the families of victims of banditry.
