Kebbi Government Advocates Responsible Journalism Amid Falsehoods

The Kebbi State Government has warned media organizations to be vigilant against attempts by desperate politicians to spread falsehoods aimed at discrediting its achievements. This warning was issued during a media tour in Birnin Kebbi by the Governor’s Media Team, led by Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy, Abdullahi Idris Sadaukin Zuru.

Zuru expressed appreciation for the media's support of Governor Nasir Idris's administration and noted the positive impact of government programs on the public's well-being. He cautioned journalists about ongoing attempts by "desperate, highly ambitious but hopeless politicians" to fabricate allegations against the government.

Zuru emphasized that the current administration has significantly improved the state's development through quality infrastructure and programs. He also alleged that some of these politicians had previously served at the national level without benefiting their communities.

The Managing Directors of IMS Media and Skylight Television commended the administration's achievements and pledged to uphold journalistic ethics.
