Kebbi Governor Provides Cash Support for Hajj Pilgrims

Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris has approved a special cash support package of 350 Saudi Riyals for each of the 4,000 pilgrims from Kebbi State who are set to perform the Hajj in 2026. Ahmad Jega, the Amirul Hajj, announced this gesture while addressing journalists in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

The initiative is part of the governor's commitment to ensuring the comfort and welfare of Kebbi pilgrims throughout their holy journey. Governor Idris has also fully settled the hadaya (sacrificial fee) for the state pilgrims, allowing them to perform essential Hajj rites without financial burdens.

Additionally, the cash support aims to assist pilgrims in meeting personal expenses during their stay in Makkah. The Kebbi State Government is also distributing free ihram materials to male pilgrims and hijabs to female pilgrims to ensure adequate preparation for the Hajj rites.

Jega commended the disciplined conduct of the Kebbi pilgrims, who have arrived in Saudi Arabia without issues, reflecting positively on the state.
