Kebbi Governor Pledges Support for Families of Fallen Heroes

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has expressed his condolences and pledged assistance to the families of nine soldiers and police officers who were killed by bandits on Tuesday night. During a visit to the morgue at the Federal Teaching Hospital in Birnin Kebbi, he described the incident as a "callous and inhuman act." Governor Idris emphasized the government's commitment to punishing those responsible for this "dastardly act" and reiterated that the Kebbi State government takes security matters seriously.

He announced that the government would provide support to the families of the fallen soldiers and police officers, including covering the costs of treatment for injured personnel. The governor mandated the Chief Medical Director (CMD) to ensure that the injured soldiers receive adequate care.

He highlighted the unfortunate situation faced by security operatives who protect the people and vowed to strengthen strategies to overcome security challenges in the state.
