Kebbi Man Arrested for Murdering Brother and Wife

Idrisu Musa, a 25-year-old man, was arrested by the Kebbi State Police Command in connection with the murder of his elder brother, Muham Haruna, and Haruna's wife, Habiba Muham. The tragic incident took place in Asarara Village at approximately 5:15 AM on Saturday, when the couple was allegedly attacked with a cutlass while asleep in their home.

The victims reportedly sustained severe injuries during the assault. Police spokesperson Bashir Usman confirmed the arrest and stated that substantial incriminating evidence linking the suspect to the crime had been recovered.

It was reported that the suspect had previously threatened the couple with a cutlass on several occasions. The matter has been directed to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation by Commissioner of Police Umar Hadejia.

The incident has raised concerns among residents of the Jega Local Government Area, and the latest arrest is expected to bring relief to the community, which has demanded swift action from security agencies.
