Man Arrested for Killing Brother and Sister-in-Law in Kebbi

Idrisu Musa, a 25-year-old man, has been arrested by the Kebbi State Police Command in connection with the murders of his elder brother, Muham Haruna, and Haruna's wife, Habiba, in Asarara Village. The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday at approximately 5:15 AM when the couple was allegedly attacked with a cutlass while asleep in their home.

The victims reportedly sustained severe injuries during the assault. Police spokesperson Bashir Usman confirmed the arrest and stated that substantial incriminating evidence linking the suspect to the crime had been recovered.

It was also reported that the suspect had previously threatened the deceased couple with a cutlass on several occasions. The matter has been directed to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation, and the police command assured the public that justice would be pursued diligently.

The incident has raised concerns among residents of the Jega Local Government Area, who demand swift action from security agencies.
