Kebbi Police Achieve Major Security Breakthroughs

The Kebbi State Police Command, led by Commissioner Umar M. Hadejia, announced major security successes during a press briefing.

On June 5, police arrested three suspects allegedly linked to the Mamudawa Boko Haram group along the Illo Lolo road in Bagudo Local Government Area. These suspects were believed to be procuring food supplies for criminal elements.

Following this, on June 7, four suspects were apprehended during a special operation targeting bandits in the same area. On June 9, police arrested a suspect identified as a logistic supplier for the Lakurawa terrorist group in Zazzagawa village, Argungu Local Government Area.

On June 10, a joint security team rescued kidnap victim Asmau Isah, who had been abducted during an attack in the Bayan Forestry area of Birnin Kebbi. The police also recovered a pump-action rifle and a locally made pistol during operations, and arrested a 42-year-old suspect in connection with a stolen vehicle case.

The police urged residents to remain vigilant and continue providing credible information to enhance security efforts.
