Taraba Governor Launches Climate-Smart Initiative

On Monday, Agbu Kefas, the Governor of Taraba State, launched a climate-smart initiative and established the Taraba State Agro Climatic Watershed Management Agency during an event in Jalingo. This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote sustainable agriculture and environmental protection in the semi-arid landscape of Taraba State.

The governor approved the upgrade of the state’s sustainability plan to support climate resilience and watershed management. The agency will operate as a permanent government institution, focusing on safeguarding natural resources and supporting vulnerable communities.
