Taraba Peace Agency Unveils 5-Year Strategic Plan

The Taraba State Bureau for Peace and Conflict Management, chaired by Bishop Innocent Solomon, presented a five-year strategic plan to Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas in Jalingo.

This strategic plan outlines a clear vision, mission, and goals aimed at achieving sustainable peace and effective conflict resolution across Taraba State. The document emphasizes proactive measures and extensive engagement with critical stakeholders to reflect the aspirations of the people.

Bishop Solomon highlighted the bureau's achievements within its first year, including milestones such as organizing peace-building workshops and training sessions for journalists on peace reporting. Governor Kefas expressed delight at the bureau's activities and commended its proactive approach to peacebuilding.

He assured that he would support the bureau's operational needs, including a request for a Hilux van to enhance its mobility and effectiveness in carrying out its mandate.
