Ezra Kipchumba Wins 2026 Lagos City Marathon

On February 14, 2026, Ezra Kipchumba from Kenya triumphed in the 2026 Lagos City Marathon, finishing with an impressive time of 2:11:55 and clinching the top prize of $50,000 in Africa's prestigious road race. Uganda's Samuel Lomoi finished closely behind in second place with a time of 2:11:59, while Kephar Lumbasi also from Uganda secured third place with a time of 2:12:25.

The men's race was noted for its fierce competition. In the women's category, Ethiopia's Dink Meseret Meleka claimed the top honor, crossing the finish line at 2:37:36, followed closely by Kenya's Daniel Flomena Cheyech at 2:37:43, and Ethiopia's Getaw Wgagen Zewdalem finishing third at 2:38:59.
