Festus Keyamo Endorses Baze University's Aviation School Proposal in Abuja

Festus Keyamo, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, has endorsed Baze University's plan to set up an aviation school in Abuja. The proposal, discussed during a meeting between Keyamo and the Chancellor of Baze University, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, seeks to establish a dedicated aviation training facility to enhance Nigeria's aviation sector.

The school will focus on training pilots, aeronautical engineers, air traffic controllers, and meteorologists. Baze University, which began operations in 2011, has grown significantly and aims to contribute to the country's aviation industry by addressing skill shortages and improving regional connectivity.

Keyamo expressed support for the project, emphasizing the government's commitment to strengthening the aviation sector. The initiative aligns with Nigeria's goal of developing a robust aviation ecosystem and fostering healthy competition in the industry.

Keyamo assured the delegation of full government support to fast-track regulatory approvals for the project.
