Keyamo Launches NAMA Headquarters and ATM Center in Abuja

On Thursday, Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, commissioned the new headquarters of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) and an air traffic management center in Abuja, valued at N21,684,314,839. The ground-breaking ceremony marked the beginning of a project expected to be completed within a 30-month period.

The new headquarters will integrate executive management functions and feature a state-of-the-art air traffic management center designed to enhance efficiency and safety in real-time operations. The project is being executed in strict adherence to the provisions of the Public Procurement Act of 2007, following a transparent and competitive tender process.

Keyamo emphasized the commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration to improving the management and coordination of airspace, aiming for a cohesive and efficient operation across Nigeria's airspace. The project will consolidate two existing area control centers in Lagos and Kano into a single central hub in Abuja, ensuring seamless radar control across the entire Nigerian airspace.
