Keyamo Engages Global Aviation Leaders at Airshow

Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, participated in high-level discussions with major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and aviation stakeholders at the El Alamein International Airshow in Egypt. The event, attended by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides, served as a platform for Nigeria to strengthen ties with key players in the global aviation sector.

Keyamo stated that these engagements would facilitate discussions on upgrading Nigeria's aviation infrastructure, aiming for improved efficiency, safety, and sustainable growth. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of early preparations for the aviation component of the next year's Hajj to ensure a smoother experience for Nigerian pilgrims.

The Aviation Safety Round Table Initiative (ASRTI) commended the Nigerian government for addressing the delayed retirement benefits of ex-workers from the defunct Nigeria Airways Limited, urging prompt payment to ensure fairness for all affected individuals.
