Keyamo Pursues Global Partnerships for Aviation Upgrade

Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development in Nigeria, is actively pursuing partnerships with major global Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to upgrade and modernize the country's aviation infrastructure. This initiative was announced during high-level engagements at the second edition of the El Alamein International Airshow in Egypt, as detailed in a statement by Tunde Moshood, the minister's special adviser on Media and Communications.

Keyamo emphasized the importance of these discussions for enhancing Nigeria's aviation sector's efficiency, safety, competitiveness, and sustainable growth. Additionally, he held discussions with a Saudi Arabian delegation regarding preparations for the 2027 Hajj operations, focusing on improving planning and coordination for the seamless movement of Nigerian pilgrims.

The El Alamein International Airshow, attended by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides, served as a platform for Nigeria to strengthen relationships with key players in the global aviation industry.
