Keyamo Signs Revised Nigeria-Morocco Aviation Agreement

On Wednesday, Festus Keyamo, Nigeria's Minister of Aviation, signed a reviewed Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) with Morocco during the Global Infrastructure Symposium (GISS) held in Marrakech. This agreement marks a significant milestone in strengthening air transport relations between Nigeria and Morocco, establishing a modern framework to enhance connectivity and commercial cooperation.

Keyamo engaged in discussions with Toshiyuki Onuma, President of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), reaffirming ICAO's commitment to support Nigeria's aviation workforce development and regulatory capacity. The agreement aims to align with continental aviation priorities, promote safety, security, and operational efficiency, and is expected to catalyze broader economic growth, opening new channels for trade, tourism, and investment between the two nations.
