Keystone Bank Empowers Kano Leather Industry Operators

Keystone Bank Limited has partnered with the Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KACCIMA) to empower leather industry operators in Kano State. This collaboration was announced in a statement issued by the bank on Wednesday, detailing a three-day program designed to strengthen the capacity of leather industry operators, enhance product quality, improve market access, and promote innovation across the leather value chain.

Usman Bello Abubakar, Executive Director of the North Public Sector at Keystone Bank, described the partnership as a strategic initiative to equip leather entrepreneurs with the necessary knowledge, skills, and financial solutions to build and sustain their businesses. Kano State is recognized as Nigeria's largest leather product hub, providing employment to approximately 40,000 workers within the SME sector.

The program includes comprehensive capacity-building sessions, business masterclasses, and grants of $50,000 to 50 SMEs, alongside a mini fair to showcase products and enhance visibility in broader markets.
