Kano Assembly and KSCHMA Collaborate on Healthcare Reforms

The Kano State House of Assembly and the Kano State Contributory Health Management Agency (KSCHMA) partnered to enhance healthcare financing reforms through a workshop held in Kaduna on Saturday. The event aimed to improve the state's contributory healthcare scheme and brought together lawmakers, senior government officials, labor organizations, healthcare professionals, and technical experts.

Hon. Zakariyya Alhassan Ishaq, Chairman of the House Committee on Health, presided over the workshop, which was declared open by Rt.

Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgor, representing Deputy Speaker Muhammad Bello Butu Butu.

Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, representing the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, and Hajiya Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, Head of Civil Service, reiterated the state government's commitment to reforming and promoting an efficient, transparent, and sustainable health sector.

Dr. Rahila Aliyu Muktar, Executive Secretary of KSCHMA, expressed gratitude for the support from the Kano State House of Assembly and stakeholders, emphasizing the goal of expanding access to quality healthcare services across Kano State in alignment with Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf's agenda.
