Kidnap Victim Injures Abductor, Aids Arrest in Ondo

On April 10, 2026, in Isua Akoko, Ondo State, a kidnap victim managed to injure one of his abductors during an escape, aiding in the suspect's subsequent arrest. The Ondo State Police Command's anti-kidnap unit, led by DSP Abayomi Jimoh, responded to reports of two young men who had gone missing after leaving for cattle rearing.

Following an intelligence-driven operation, the police rescued the victim, who detailed the kidnapping incident involving three suspects. The victim fought back, inflicting a head injury on one of the captors.

The police mobilized to Obasanjo Motor Park in Isua, where they apprehended a suspicious individual with visible head injuries. The suspect confessed to being part of the kidnapping gang.

The victim received medical attention, and the suspect was transferred to the anti-kidnap unit for further investigation. Additionally, Ismaila Ibrahim, identified as a kidnap kingpin, was arrested in connection with the case.
