Ondo Police Arrest Three in Viral Kidnapping Case

The Ondo State Police Command arrested three suspects linked to a kidnapping case that gained attention after a video surfaced showing a woman being forcibly taken in front of a child on March 6. The incident occurred in the Oda area of Akure and was captured on CCTV, prompting public outrage and highlighting security concerns in urban neighborhoods.

Following the release of the footage on social media, credible intelligence led to the operation by the command's anti-kidnap squad, resulting in the arrest of the suspects identified as Moham Koro (27 years), Muhammad Usman (30 years), and Musa Alhaji (23 years). The police confirmed the rescue of three victims: Tosin Adesida, Adeniran Adesuyi, and Adewunmi Adewusi, who were taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

The suspects provided confessions that will aid in the ongoing investigation, and they will be charged in court upon the conclusion of the investigation. Commission Lawal emphasized the command's commitment to combating crime and urged the public to support police efforts.
