Kwara Monarch's Son Freed After N20m Ransom Payment

The son of Kwara monarch, Oba Simeon Olanipekun, identified as Olaolu, was abducted by gunmen in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State. He was released after his family paid a ransom of N20 million.

Olaolu is currently receiving medical attention in an undisclosed hospital due to the physical and psychological trauma suffered during his captivity. However, the monarch remains kidnapped alongside other residents, with the abductors demanding an additional N15 million for their release.
