Gunmen Abduct Pregnant Woman and Others in Ekiti, Demand N100 Million Ransom

Gunmen raided a residence in Erinmope, Ekiti State, abducting five individuals, including a pregnant woman, a nursing mother, and other family members. The criminals demanded a ransom of N100 million for their release.

The victims were identified as Muhammad Saliu Okanlawon, his wife, children, younger brother, and son. The incident occurred around 7:00 p.m. on a Saturday, with the assailants shooting sporadically before taking the women.

Security agencies swiftly responded, but the kidnappers' whereabouts remain unknown. The family has appealed to the government for assistance in securing the victims' release, highlighting the trauma and financial burden caused by the abduction.
