Kidnappers Kill Farmer, Abduct Three in Taraba Attack

On May 13, 2023, a kidnapping attack occurred in the Kufai village area of Karim Lamido Local Government Area, Taraba State, resulting in the death of a local farmer and the abduction of three residents. Following the incident, security personnel were deployed to the area as part of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) to respond to the rising kidnap activities.

Upon arrival, troops discovered that the attackers had already fled the scene. The deceased victim was evacuated, and security personnel later conducted a burial in accordance with Islamic rites and local customs.

In response to the attack, security forces have intensified patrols and search operations in the area, aiming to rescue the abducted victims and track down the fleeing kidnappers.
