Troops Arrest Two Suspected Kidnappers in Taraba State

Troops conducted a night operation in Wukari Local Government Area, Taraba State, where they arrested two suspected kidnappers on May 13 at approximately 11:50 PM. The operation was part of ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks responsible for kidnapping activities in the region, specifically in areas such as Chinkai, Ikyaior, Vaas, and Jootar, which are adjacent to Katsina Ala.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the suspects are allegedly linked to a gang involved in these criminal activities. During the operation, troops recovered two mobile phones and a sum of 250 from the suspects.

The arrested individuals are currently in military custody and are undergoing further interrogation by security agencies as part of the ongoing operations aimed at restoring security in affected communities.
