Police Arrest Two Suspects for Killing Officers in Taraba

The Taraba State Police Command announced the arrest of two suspects, Suleman Abdullahi (30) and Idri Kauri (33), in connection with the killing of three police officers during an ambush in Donga Local Government Area. The police spokesperson, ASP Victor Mshelizah, confirmed that the arrests followed investigations into the attack on police officers at Tse Kwe Tor Damisa.

The suspects were apprehended while attempting to steal firearms. The police recovered a stolen service rifle and other items from the suspects, who are currently in custody and will face charges upon the conclusion of the investigation.

Commissioner of Police Morkwap Dongshal visited the incident scene to assess security challenges in Donga and Takum Local Government Areas. He emphasized the need for visible police presence to deter criminal activities and improve public confidence.

The police are also engaging community leaders to foster trust and enhance intelligence gathering in the area.
